We spent January considering the importance of purpose. One of the benefits of a strong sense of purpose is that it helps you to find and maintain your focus. For the month of February, we will be fueling our purpose by sharpening our focus. Here are some wise words to inspire you:
Always remember, your focus determines your reality.
– George Lucas
“The direction of your focus is the direction your life will move. Let yourself move toward what is good, valuable, strong and true.” – Ralph Marston
When you focus on problems, you’ll have more problems. When you focus on possibilities, you’ll have more opportunities. – Unknown
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” – Socrates
To conquer frustration, one must remain intensely focused on the outcome, not the obstacles. – T.F. Hodge
“I don’t care how much power, brilliance, or energy you have, if you don’t harness it and focus it on a specific target, and hold it there you’re never going to accomplish as much as your ability warrants.” – Zig Ziglar
That’s been one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.
– Steve Jobs
“You don’t get results by focusing on results. You get results by focusing on the actions that produce results.” – Mike Hawkins
Focusing is about saying “No”. – Steve Jobs
